In Fridays beginners course class we will explore shoulder movement. Awareness during movement of the arms and shoulders is very important, since the design of the shoulderjoint is far from optimal; lots of (potential) mobility, not so much stability. When there is more awareness there is an opportunity to let go of tension (weakness and less mobility) we tend to hold in our shoulders, which then allows us to build strength (stability) and regain the normal range of motion.
The drop-in class will be all about twisting the spine by using our core. This is great for the spine especially the discs between the vertebrae, but also very nice for everything in your torso (muscles and organs) to twist out the unnecessary and make space for the good, like a little spring cleaning!
